I think it came to America early and took over in 1871, when the United States became incorporated. That's when we essentially we bought by the vampires. As for how long this has been in the works, we can see the insidious evil as far back as Babylon. I haven't found an interruption so yeah, in some sense earth is the Devil's playground.
