I2P is not a VPN, it's a completely separate internet. Some people voluntarily run gateways to the normal internet, but there's no way to completely trust that.

I'm aware which is why I'm clear that "its like Tor" to keep it simple.

Now maybe I shouldn't list it there but I'm putting it out there as an option to people looking at VPNs.

It's not like tor, though. Tor is designed to access the clearnet. The access is a part of the design of tor itself. I2P was meant to be completely seperate, and you are trusting a complete stranger when you browse the clearnet through I2P.
