Good post, no you aren't going mad. I've believed for a long time that many people in positions of power have knowledge of what common folks can only speculate on. One of the ways they try to wake up the public is to use art / movies / fiction / music to tell the truth. It has the advantage of camouflage and. Plausible deniability. Of course there is predictive programming, "dupers delight" and other explanations. I am sure it's a mix of many things. But whatever the motivation, it's very relevant and not at all crazy to analyse these things.
Just look at Orwell's "1984" or Huxleys "Brave New World". A great site for this stuff is Vigilant Citizen.
