I'm stuck on the word "seems" in Susan Sandler's email to Podesta. "a map that seems pizza-related". Why not "a map that's pizza related" or "a pizza related map"? "Seems" implies to me examination of the object, peering at it, maybe looking at it closely in a good light. Is she referring to a small stain that the realtor didn't mention out of delicacy or possibly didn't even notice? Is Susan saying "hey did you cum on this hanky or wipe with it --I spy something there"? Or "hey the kid may have left a blood spot on this hanky" ...?

From the context it is very unlikely that she saw it. I think that she is just inferring from what she knows and what she has just been told by email. Suppose she know what Podesta used handkerchiefs for and just was concerned that he'd left one behind. He response could have several means as others have discussed. One could be no it is just a "clean" handkerchief no worries. Or, it could I'm not going to express concern in an email but he took measures otherwise to retrieve it. Or, it could be that he just isn't worried regardless.
