I was really disappointed in John Oliver's coverage of this election. If he got that so wrong, maybe he got all those other great stories wrong as well. I lost my trust in his team's credibility. Which sucks because I really liked what he was doing.

What started me was that it is illegal to question the holocaust in a lot of the EU. If the 'truth does not fear investigation' then what is the lie they are covering up?
To be fair, questioning something is a means of suggesting something. Question something's existence enough and people will start to disbelieve it. The people "asking the questions", in my opinion, don't follow through with investigation. They get tidbits of evidence and cling to them as true believers, using that evidence plus "innocent questioning" to push their agenda.
The truth need not fear investigation, but it does fear implication.
