It was not a literal adoption, she was an old lady famous for making everyone a "child" of hers, baking, helping, grammaing, that sort of thing. She may or may not be a pedo (after all John turned out bad for a reason) but this particular thing is not a signal OMG WHERE ARE THE MISSING KIDS.
But the cousin patti paule carres, who's mother is Mary's sister has the very weird company named Gucifer Llc and is associated with adoptions and medical outsourcing. So there is no way in my mind she is not complicit in this.
She might well be complicit, but this article isn't anything but an adoring obit, not a sekrit signal to the world that there are 25 adopted children of hers missing.
