A cursory look into the fellow revealed his shady character in finance. Herb Sandler of the Sandler Foundation was named as “blameworthy” for the 2008 mortgage crisis, for developing the misleading mortgage product known as ARM, and profiting over $2B by selling their World Savings Bank to Wachovia, which collapsed as a toxic asset and sold to Wells Fargo.

He also donated $2.5 Million to Hillary's Super Pac, Priorities USA.

If part of this investigation is to look deeply into the character of the folks implicated in this mess, here is someone who checked out right on time with seeming foreknowledge. Imagine how little that portfolio would have been worth only two years later.
