James Hetfield in an interview with Joe Rogan just a few days ago, gave out what I believe was a coded message.
While discussing hunting, Joe asked James if he'd ever hunted bear, his response was, "I did, I did, but now I wear clothes", Joe awkwardly laughed, and James said, "That was really stupid, sorry", to which Joe responds, "I like stupid jokes".
I believe this is a reference to "Teddy bear's picnic" child rape hunt parties.

The fact that Joe laughed it off as a "stupid joke", means he is well aware of what James just said.
After a few moments of what I believe is talk of a real bear hunt, and not a coded message, Joe asks James how his bear hunting trip was organized, "It was set up, umm, umm, through the Safari club". The interview was wrapped up straight after this.
The 'Safari Club' is a group that needs investigation. I've heard Ryan Dawson bring them up multiple times but on those occasions, he hasn't gone into detail, other than they are involved in some shady things.

Am I onto something or am I missing some American tradition of naked grizzly/brown bear hunting ?

That is a LOT of effort expended due to a simple misunderstanding of the word bare. Is this post a joke? Is it meant to undermine serious investigation?

Honest mistake. I didn't think of 'bare' as in naked. The 'Teddy bear picnic' is a real thing that happens.

Do not let this pass by. Everything and Everyone is suspect at this point. No stone should be left unturned. I consider everything a "Possibility Theory" now.
