I'm kind of mixed feelings about trump and his view towards whistle blowers.

What is your thoughts, and why?

i am absolutely disgusted with his views on them. The government shouldn't be hiding shit from the people at all. Whistleblowers are necessary. Hope he changed his mind after seeing how important wikileaks was in getting him elected

the very concept of state secrets or national security is in contradiction to the Constitution

It's completely arse about face....

The state gets to do so much in secret with no accountability, yet can snoop into everything we all do with no process or probable cause

In the US you did have the 4th amendment to protect you from that, but seems that's isn't worth the paper it's written on anymore

I say the NSA should make their information available to everyone. Let the tables turn. (that's kind of what's happening here, but it needs go further). The bill of rights (Amendments 1-10) and the Constitution, its all being torn to bits and shreds. Where I normally am not a huge guns person, I am for 2A just out of principle, if one amendment can be weakened, it will start a pattern. We've depended on these rights and take them as a given but this destruction from within is a whole new animal. Treason is not thrown around much, except for whistleblowers. "State secrets" and "national security" as an excuse to avoid FIOA needs to end.
