These people love to use symbols and dates to signify their intentions.

You use/read symbols, we all do, generally unwittingly. Symbols themselves aren't bad, it is the meaning behind them that determines their nature. Buy an encyclopedia of symbols and you'll not regret it if you are truly seeking truth.
