She's a senator from California. Anyone can have their property removed from Google maps, you just have to request it. I just researched it and found a Huffington Post article from 2014 that details the process. I think any person with a high profile job (entertainment, politics, etc.), anyone who has had a stalker, anyone who craves privacy in this world of surveillance would request it. I don't think having your home blurred out is a strong indicator of criminal activity. I personally value my privacy a great deal, and the development of all the surveillance around me can feel a bit 1984 at times.
