why a .com TLD?

and why in the U.S.?

LockedPost ago

Just went with .com as a lot of people instinctively just go to ServiceName.com

Hosting location will change - this is very early stages of the project.

thanks for the reply

i assume you are aware .com is subject to take-down by the U.S. gov, which i think challanges your claim of uncensorable

regarding decentralised, can you explain what you mean, because it seems like this service is dependent upon a central server(s), or am i wrong?

thx

Yes - most things are subject to take-down by the U.S Government - except the backbone to this service: the Bitcoin Blockchain (messages are stored within this transaction ledger). I plan to release easy code for anyone to put on their own web-site to retrieve the posts (from the Blockchain) made using my service. I am even talking with some about creating software that connects directly to the the Blockchain - but this needs a lot of thought.

again, thanks for the reply, and good luck with your project - we need better alternatives to the corporate platforms
