I don't think anyone is thinking it is odd that they have this room.

The thing that is of question is why is it underground? If you want to watch art that is not tasteful or obscure have at it. Make a room like this above ground for half the cost and a million times less creepy.

I think a lot of people is this very thread are thinking it's odd they have this room or that is has tiles or .....

Your argument boils down to, the arguments against having the room are invalid, but the way they have the room is creepy.

I live in Canada and every house I've ever been in here has a basement. Isn't it that way in the states?

It's not that way in the states. Lots of houses do, of course, but not all. But the thing that seems odd here is that (I believe) they had this room constructed for this purpose. Repurposing part of an existing basement would be decidedly less suspicious, and perhaps even sensible if you're trying to have a darkened room. Building a whole new underground room is, at least, unusual. It is worth keeping in mind that they have insane amounts of money, though...

So they excavated underneath the house and added a basement!! WOW!
