You know, I always wondered about witchunts back in the day. It seemed weird to me that people would burn witches for no other reason than they weren't Christian or their practices were deemed satanic but possibly innocent enough. And that if they honestly believed these people possessed magic powers from witchcraft that they'd be able to free themselves of the burning. After so many witch burnings they'd realize they do not posses powers like that and therefor shouldn't fear them really, so why did they keep burning them? I think there is a lot of our history that we aren't being told.... What kind of "witches" were they burning, and why exactly were they burning them...

In Salem their grain supply was tainted with Ergot, a psychoactive fungus that basically made it so the entire town was on a low dose of acid at all times. This caused the entire populace to behave erratically and irrationally.

To be fair, TPTB probably tainted their supply and then studied what the fungus did to the population.

Been wondering that myself. Has this dark magic bs been going on for this long, but because the church's are tied into it all they have been suppressing what is going on. ???
