Great theory except it's completely at odds with Pizzagate, given that these guys supposedly just full-on enjoy this stuff and casually joke about it in emails and on Instagram and deck their walls with pedo-proving artwork.
I think that it's really just a few people that brazen -- people who thought they were so connected to such power (and maybe with insurance files of their own) they could get away with whatever they wanted. I see Wiener in that category and Alefantis -- but he was mainly communicating with his in-group using code and "jokes". They had no idea Wikileaks would shine 10,000 suns on their little world. Or that Trump would win and take out the power structure sheltering them. They really did not.
Tony Podesta can easily argue he buys the child abuse art to support the artists (a couple of whom were victims of abuse) and raise awareness among his rich glitterati friends so they will get involved in charity work.
