Scalia died on Feb 13. I think it's very likely he was murdered.
However, this email as evidence has an alternative explanation: http://archive.is/m6SGv
Which is that the New Hampshire primary was on Feb 9, and they were referring to the firing off staff that would happen because they lost the primary.
I still lean toward it being about Scalia, but just wanted to post the alternative for completeness.
