comments throughout are interesting - particularly that the only current-year comments are on the last page of the discussion and it goes 2010/2011/2011/2011/2014/Dec 7 2016.

page 12 has a guy talking about the back room filling up with grade-schoolers on friday and saturday nights. ostensibly for ping-pong, but what a surreal read...i don't sense anything sinister from any of the posters, but some of the items, when seen through the lens we've been viewing Alefantis through, are chilling. Italian blood orange soda, the sometimes-in-stock hand made pizza sauce from Carole's farm.

I can see why this might be interpreted as chilling now, but I didn't find it odd at all. Blood oranges are popular in Italy (seasonally), so a foodie doing artisan pizza serving a foodie type italian beverage sent up no red flags to me......nor does a homemade sauce being available seasonally. The taste in artwork they've chosen to decorate with on the other hand is straight up fcked up.... I've got no explanation for why a place catering or at least semi-catering to children would hang that sick sht up.

yeah, that's what i mean. real italian blood orange soda sounds great - i'll bet it's delicious, no red flag there - but i don't think i could feel good about ordering one there, that's all.

LostandFound ago

I think it is refreshing to gather info from people who are unhazed by the last year and get from what I understand real first hand accounts of the place. Nothing so far jumping out as alarm, interestingly they do talk about the artwork on the walls but its not what we have seen in the pics. So sometime I think from 2011 - 2016 is when the artwork got creepy, perhaps after Carol Greenwalds departure from the business. Her reasons for leaving were very ambiguous.
