So I hope they do deliver and I hope it is legit.

But.. I won't be downloading anything. Not until the contents have been verified properly.

The last thing you want is to have downloaded actual CP (we don't know what's in there) and then it's on your computer, they've got your IP address, probably some tracking cookies too.

Probably the safest option would be to sit back and let other people download it first. There will be hundreds or thousands of people doing it. It won't be long until the smoking gun is found, if there is one. And you don't really want to be the one to find it, if you can help it. It may put you at risk in some way or another.

If they are in fact emails, they need to be verified somehow. I have little faith that this will have been done already.

Keep in mind also, that if we are not 100% sure of the source of the emails, they may have been tampered with by CIA etc. Even if they seem to include incriminating words, images or video - they would be happy to throw someone under the bus if it gets the reaction they want. They might fabricate an email that makes Podesta look 100% guilty, with evidence, and we don't know their motives for doing so. It may turn out later that they prove that email was faked, and then since we believed it, it renders all previous emails as useless (probable fakes).

Basically what I'm saying is keep an open mind, and tread carefully. Nothing is as it seems. They've had 48 hours to prepare for this, I find it hard to believe that they will allow the leak to happen if it is genuine.
