Many of you have raised questions about Findingassange.com and their release of 15,000 Podesta's emails on Friday.
Look at the WhoIs: The registrar is Enom Inc
Who is Enom Inc? Well just your average hosting site. Oh, except a quick google search uncovered this: https://wikileaks.org/wiki/WIKILEAKS.INFO_censored_by_eNom_and_Demand_Media
Now why would Wikileaks partner with a web hosting company that they are boycotting due to free speech issues? This is an old article from 2008, and obviously someone forgot to search the archives of Wikileaks before attempting this.

Either the password hashes will work when released, or they won't.

Agreed, I just hope no one downloads anything from this site. I don't trust it at all The site doesn't mention passcodes, it just says that it will give you information to download. Suspicious OP is suspicious.

Download, unzip in a virtual machine with no internet connection, inspect.

I'm pretty sure there is no danger from opening a zip. If there are txt files they are safe to open, image files are generally safe also. If the keys aren't in a txt file then it's obviously a scam.
