“I am going to re-institute a 5-year ban on all executive branch officials lobbying the government for 5 years after they leave government service. I am going to ask Congress to pass this ban into law so that it cannot be lifted by executive order,” the release said. Trump added that he’s going to ask Congress “to institute its own 5-year ban on lobbying by former members of Congress and their staffs.” He also said he would issue a “lifetime ban against senior executive branch officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government.”  

In the article below we see that the Podesta Group currently receives $140k/month from SAUDI ARABIA in exchange for PR/lobbying. Now, officially, of the two brothers, Tony is the lobbyist and John is more of a presidential adviser. Nevertheless it looks like Saudi Arabia might be losing some of it stranglehold on US foreign policy. Though there is some doubt cast upon that by Donald Trump's selection of Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State.
