Hastert (Speaker of the House - in line for Presidency after Vice President) is now a convicted pedophile. One of his big friends was John Kasich when Kasich was in Congress. Just thought this was an interesting article:

The scandal never exploded, but we saw Kasich openly oppose Trump as well as Lindsey Graham.

The Franklin cover up exposed massive pedophilia and corruption, mainly on repubs, but the democrat governor was a sick bastard as well, and looted a couple banks.

Thanks, I've heard about this. I'm also interested in potential ties between Franklin and voting machine executives, both Chuck Hagel and Mike McCarthy. My interest was triggered by learning that ES&S (the voting machine company which Hagel was CEO of, and whose machines gave him an implausible Senate upset) was partially owned by the Omaha World-Herald, which was part of Franklin as well. A lot of politicians and businessmen tied to Chuck Hagel's upset might also be linked to the Franklin scandal.

You could also make government transparent and non-profit. That way you get the benefits of things like credit unions and bulk pharmaceutical purchases, without the kiddy diddling.
