While this specific story may not ultimately be the "reason," it would be very foolish to just assume that there's nothing that will stop Trump from assuming office in January. Reports vary ATM, but as many as 15 delegates are currently planning to vote contrary to their general election mandate, perhaps even more, so it's still VERY possible that the electoral college will steal the election. Bare in mind that they don't actually vote until December 19th so the result is not officially finalized.
Theoretically possible, yes. Won't happen. Right now they have 1 republican elector who says he won't vote Trump. Outside of assassination, Trump will be taking office. I'm not worried in the slightest.
But I think the fact that the MSM has yet to completely concede the election and keeps pumping out nonstop agitprop trash like this article is quite telling. There seems to be, at least to me, an urgency there that would be unnecessary if they're aim was simply to hamstring his tenure. They basically have 9 days left to save everything they've been working towards for the last 25 years. We shall see though. Again, I hope you're right but the next 9 days are going to feel like an eternity lol.
The entire MSM was in the tank for Hillary. I think they are past the denial stage but not by very much. There's no way Hillary can get enough electoral votes to win so no matter what, she's done (She needed PA, MI, and WI to win - MI is Trump's officially). If somehow Trump didn't get enough electoral votes it gets decided by the House who is controlled by Republicans and they get to decide what happens with the electoral votes that are outstanding. There could be a lot of crazy theater in the next 9 days but it's just sour grapes at this point. Let that sink in and get some laughs out of this. I shake my head in disbelief every day about something stupid dems are doing.
