Hi community, well we probably all get a little paranoid contributing to this investigation, I wanted to ask the community about PC protection

If the cult/illuminati/whatever they call themselves do target us - as is commonly cited - to hack our computers and fill them with CP to frame / discredit people, what are the best defenses or checks that IT savvy people can recommend. I'm guessing my Ad-block plus aint quite up to the job

(note: be careful/slow about adopting any advice given here in case its used as a trojan horse by the very creeps im talking about - wait for a consensus of advice)
