I have read on some mystic scriptures (Jakob Lorber) that pedophilia is a sickness of the soul and it develops as follow:
A person tired of heterosexual sex becomes homosexual. (due to indulgence)
-> Homosexual tired becomes pedophile or zoophile or both
-> then he becomes psychopath, they become so insensitive that get pleasure only killing, torturing etc... pure evil...
Surprisingly, this article says the large majority of pedophiles are attracted to adults too, not just to kids.
In extreme cases, the pedophile feels above the law “any kind of law". This grandiose and haughty conviction leads to criminal acts, incestuous or polygamous relationships, and recurrent friction with the authorities.
