I've spent the better part of a week in this sub. Researching a ton, looking into things with everyone else, and it seems like every possible "lead" turns into a SMOKING GUN in someone's eyes.
THIS is why the media is having a heyday calling this "fake news" all a journalist need to do is come here to Voat, look at the half-assed cockamamie "detective" work being done, and they've got enough ammo to report it as fake.
Why don't people be more objective? Quit claiming that things are FACTS when it's just an opinion, or a theory.
As of right now, this 'investigation' is nothing more than speculation, conjecture, and assumptions.
People seeing weird things and asking "why". Fine, ask the questions. Ask "why". Investigate, but don't make claims unless you can actually prove something.
With that being said, the recent development of James Alefantis doing remodeling on an 87 year old Russian's guy house that is almost right next to the playground at 11th and Monroe is interesting. I'm not accusing him of using the playground to nab children, but it is interesting.

When you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Seriously though, the subject matter is so personal, so visceral, that it is nearly impossible to shake the confirmation bias out of any analytical evaluation. As a parent, I cannot even fathom the depths of horror which I think may currently exist - the movie Taken was a warm-up.
But as someone with an analytical background, I can say that there is so much here, it is almost undeniable. Yes, there are a shitton of holes. But the preponderance of circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. I've hit the point where I am starting to try and disprove everything. Analysis of competing hypothesis an yet nothing makes sense other than the prevailing theory.

Like I've said in other posts - I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Agreed. When confronted with 5 possible outcomes in a minor situation, the outcome is always the 6th one you didn't consider. LOL.
