The Washington Post has added an editorial note to its original corny article on fake-news to clarify that in fact they didn't mean to say that they were sure the analysis from two notoriously unknown research companies they cited was valid. Although they did spin the shit out of it, in fact they didn't really mean it that way, and it's a terrible misunderstanding, and it's not their fault.

Too late for them now, the public opinion is already formed. No amount of backpedaling is gonna change our opinion of their bias. Most newspapers are not worth the paper they are printing on anyway.
