Shortly before Assange disappeared, the dates on all of the files on Wikileaks were changed to January 1st, 1984 at 1:01 am. This is an obvious reference to the torture chamber room 101 in the book 1984.
Curiously, at some point after this, some files had their dates changed again. This is from a post on reddit:
I have found three files on the index's main page that have different dates. One has to do with the newly released German BND-NSA leaks, dated/time stamped 01-Dec-2016 09:00, but the other two, cms/ & icwatch/, are dated/time stamped to 14-Sep-2016 15:54 & 28-May-2016 09:05, respectively, both before Oct. 18, 2016. Within these files are other files that have a few different dates/time stamps. Within cms/ these are, in order: 31-Dec-1979 23:01, 05-Feb-2015 12:52, 05-Feb-2015 13:50, 05-Feb-2015 13:59, and 05-Feb-2015 13:43. Within icwatch/ these are, in order: 27-May-2016 19:29, 27-May-2016 21:42, and 28-May-2016 08:45. This means that someone had to intentionally go into these files and change their dates/time stamps after all other dates were initially changed to 01-Jan-1984 01:01 on Tue. Oct. 18, 2016. Even if they added new information or edited something, the dates/time stamps should read as being after Tue. Oct. 18, 2016. Some are even listed as being before 1984. Is this a message from the WikiLeaks staff? Could this mean anything? A code perhaps? Your thoughts?
I checked out the three files that did not have to be downloaded, which were the ones dated 31-December-1979. These were all medical/dental/psychological records about Julian Assange. These are in the cms folder. The other files which predate October 18th look like audio and video files. I am too afraid to download any of the other files, however, because of rumors that Wikileaks is compromised.
I am much, much more curious about what is in the icwatch folder. The file titled fbi_dhs.7z could potentially be worth checking out in light of this pizzagate investigation. Is there anybody out there who is brave enough to download this file and check the contents? Given the current state of Wikileaks I do not advise anyone to download this file unless they know how to stay safe and anonymous, but I think there are people here who are bright enough to do that.

What exactly has changed? The names and file sizes seem the same comparing your archived link to the one in my post.

fuck. yes, i see that. i posted the wrong archive thing. sorry- i had also archived a page that someone else had posted a couple months ago where it showed extra files in that folder, not just those three that are showing up now. I will try to find it again

Good find. I think we have to be very careful with information that we are looking at online. I'm beginning to consider the possibility that some information is compromised in order to discredit us.

It contains two files, with a list of names and references

Looks like a doxx for FBI and DHS members/contacts/informants.

I would delete that. It's got names and phone numbers on it.

I found the icwatch folder on archive.org with different dates. I downloaded the fbi_dhs, but did not extract it. I did check to see what was in it and there are 2 JSON files, FBI.JSON and DHS.JSON
It's javascript database. I don't know enough about it to unzip that sucker. I deleted it.
In case anyone else wants to investigate a possibly safer alternative, here's the link https://archive.org/download/ICWatch

Unplug internet, open in a vm, proceed?

Wow, some of those files are huge. As far as the date change goes, if individual files were copied to these locations AFTER things got changed to 1984, they could just be retaining their original time/date stamps.
