V/pizzagate feels more scattered and the theories are a little more out there so people probably subscribed and never came back.
Maybe people were also in the heat of the moment when R/pizzagate when down. And came here only to realize they don't care enough to continue to return.
Also it just seems like a lot of people don't Upvote in general on voat. Comments or post. I have to actively remind myself to up voat on this site for some reason
I have seen people post that they have been lurking for weeks and joined up just to respond to someones comments. I am sure that happens a lot and then they go back to lurkers. Most people read these sites and the content is provided by a much smaller base.

Yes , as someone who was once a lurker . It's really easy to just click around absorb info and not Upvote or downvote or say anything.
