Burning down the house...
Look at the following images at your leisure , http://archive.is/hsZdy#selection-876.0-886.3 , http://archive.is/YolWI , . Just a couple of examples to ponder. Notice the lack of fire sprinkler heads in the ceiling, no emergency exit lighting, no emergency exit signage above doorways, no fire extinguishers, no pull stations, no fire hose lockers. Somewhat disappointing for a family friendly establishment. Fire Marshal Bill and the Allstate guy would have a field day here. How does this place get an occupancy permit? How do they get insurance? They have a wood burning pizza oven ( I'm pretty sure I saw a pile of fire wood by one of the secret bathroom doors, in some other post).
Edit: Removed link to flicker home page. OOPS Sorry about that.

Dig into who would have been paid off to categorically exclude CPP from any fire code compliance requirements.

Is it a "historical property" ? You would think they would want to preserve it and protect it from any possible fire, but maybe that designation (if they have it) lets them get away with having less than regular buildings need to be up to code.

it is not, it was some thai room business a decade ago, we were digging on the preowners, although I forgot the exact sale date.
