I was trying to look for stuff on John Podesta's father, John David Podesta Sr, but I kept running into all John Podesta stuff since they have the same name. So I decided to tack on Italy and look at what I came across on Wiki:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podesta
So his last name is derived from a word that means 'power' and it was given to "certain high officials in many Italian cities" who were the representative of "the Holy Roman Emperor." So I guess his path was predetermined in either an ironic or coordinated way. Either way, it's pretty interesting for trying to trace lineage - wanted to share for those looking into historical ancestry to try and link people up.

Interesting, but how is this going to help, in any way, in gathering evidence that can bring about charges? His surname, which wasn't his choice, means something. Come on....

A few of us are trying to figure out the relation of Alefantis to Podesta, seems to be through the mother - Greek ties. This is still the internet right, not the FBI Crime Lab. Are you a cop or an officer? Even if we get something, what? We are gathering information so we know what's going on. Stop policing the thread and get to your own work there detective.

I was so sure it was Italian for 'mayor.' I'll have to check now.

wow you're right, it's a latin root that does mean power, the same one that is in "potentate" i guess. Might even be a direct translation.

It's also very Illuminati stuff, but we're not going there. I handed that part off to someone who works with someone who actually tracks that around the world. Out of my league. But still, it will be interesting to see if I find the Podesta name in other political positions in Italy, especially during WWII.
