Oh, dear freakin' Lord!!! What a way to spend a Saturday, but I found it!!! Definitive proof that Bucks Camping and Fishing has a BASEMENT!!!
drum roll
Here's the article:

And I quote:
"Like Pastan, James Alefantis, owner of Comet Ping Pong in D.C., doesn't build his pizza sauce with DOP San Marzanos. For seven years, he has been buying late-harvest tomatoes from Toigo Orchards in Shippensburg, Pa., and canning them at nearby Stello Foods for use at Comet. Last year, Alefantis estimates, he bought 12 tons of Toigo tomatoes, which Stello turned into sauce and canned before trucking the jars to the basement at Buck's Fishing & Camping, Alefantis' other restaurant nearby."
Can I get a hallelujah and amen?

Thanks for your post and your comments are taken in the spirit they're given.
Just to clear up this point. You said:
[quote] (1) The "two story" description refers to the small stairway in the back leading to the children's party area, and James was using hyperbole in his past interview where in mentions a basement. [unquote]
I've stated this about 50 times now. Stair or raised or sunken rooms do not constitute a separate floor. In real estate, a separate floor must allow passage and livability underneath said floor. So you can't have three steps and say someone can live under the three steps. I believe the requirement is at least six feet. It would mean most people could comfortably walk beneath it. So again, steps up or down do not constitute a separate floor. They do not. You have to be able to live and walk under said floor for it to be considered and listed as another story.
In terms of Bucks' and Comet's respective basements, I think Comet's is more suspect. Why? Because: (1) it's obviously hidden. My speculation and best guess extrapolated from the evidence is that the employees don't even know it's there; and (2) he's been so adamant about it being there. But to return to (1), it must have been designed to be hidden from the beginning which means that's where the major part of whatever goes on down there, goes down. Unless that storage unit (the #killroom) is in Bucks cellar, then I'd say Comet is the place to investigate. Now the other assumption could be that part of Bucks' basement is hidden. In other words, employees know about a basement, they use it for storage, but a section of it is hidden. That could very well be.
