Oh my word, this is so ridiculous it hurts. You realise don't you that hearts and butterflies have been associated with kids (pedo free) forever. Good Heavens if I was going to scribble something that would appeal to one of my grandchildren I would draw a heart or a butterfly, Why because I have zero artistic ability but those anyone could draw. Most people that draw hearts or butterflies in association with children are NOT perverts. Does that mean that all of those links are useless, if that is ALL this is based on then, "yes" they are useless. I saw a young girl at a local store with swirl earrings on, I can be quite sure she's not a paedophile just because she wore swirl earrings.

When it comes to hearts and butterflies it has to be much more specifically designed, or it fails to be an identifier as hearts and butterflies are very common in our culture, especially in regards to children. Even if the symbol is spot on, it takes other identifiers to make a case because it is possible for a business to inadvertently and innocently use a symbol. For example: If a paedophile sees one of the symbols that you listed on a business, he's not going to go in ask for the manager and ask him if he has any children for him to rape today. He's going to look about the business a bit to see if he can find some other clues, the more exact the symbol the more confidence he might have, but he will still need to check it out a lot better because asking to rape kids can get him in a heap of trouble if assumes to much based on a symbol. Likewise the FBI they will give more attention to a symbol that is more specific to the model but even still they're looking for something more solid.
