I was thinking earlier why would Alefantis be among the top 50 most influential people in DC, then I thought what if he's running a blackmail ring, in which he invites these high profile people(politicians, businessmen) to Comet Ping Pong and catches them on camera in compromising positions with children, then he blackmails them and gets them to donate to the Clinton campaign.

Again, that article about "influential people" was a fluff piece for GQ, which mostly covers mens' fashion and style news.
It also said that the guys doing the weather blog at the washington post were in the top 50. I wouldn't put too much stock in that particular article.
