Satanism is part and parcel of this investigation. Moloch worship (which crops up in Podesta's emails), and Lilith worship both involve human sacrifice (among other things). These fall under the umbrella of Satanism. Additionally, Marina Abromovic is a central figure in these investigations, and keeps cropping up among the elite (again, even in Podesta's emails). She is a practitioner of Thelema, again a form of Satanism.

It should be noted that we don't know if all of the people doing this kind of thing really WANT to to do it, whether it be ritual child rape, torture, or murder. But, that is the price of admission into their circle, and with that comes great rewards in terms of money and power. This is how the elite gain leverage in the form of blackmail and gain control. That all said, there are people who take the religious aspect of this seriously, and any direct connections to this investigation with indications of overt Satanic practice should be scrutinized for their role.
