Anyone else think that it is odd that so many powerful and rich people are associated with such an ugly, decrepit pizza place? (pizzagate)

Here's a link to a bunch of pictures I got off Yelp, though you're probably all familiar of what Comet Ping Pong looks like by now.

The exterior looks horrible (dark green, seriously?) and dirty. The interior looks like it was designed by a schizophrenic. The walls are different colors and look worn down. There's messy "art" and a random assortment of lights hanging from the roof. The eating area is dimly lit at night. The ping pong room looks especially awful and outdated.

The place just looks seedy and shady as hell overall.

The pizza looks pretty average, but most reviews of the pizza seem to be positive so I'm not sure. Either way, I'd expect extremely rich people to have higher standards and frequent high class restaurants that look like this, for example.

How is James Alefantis the 49th most powerful person in Washington for owning this shithole? Why are the elite even related to this place?
