hese people all worked to make the Uranium One deal happen. Rosatom, a Russian company, bought Uranium One, a South African company. Frank Giustra, first, acquired mining operations in Khazakstan, under his company, UrAsia, then bought Uranium One, in South Africa, who, then bought assets in the US, like Energy Metals Corporation. Giustra kept the name Uranium One. Ian Telfer was an executive who helped orchestrate a crash in stock price before selling majority share to Rosatom. Sergey Kiriyenko, former Prime Minister in Russia, became CEO in 2007.

New question: why are the Russians trying to buy uranium? Why do they want so much?

They can sell it to the countries that the US would not normally allow to have access.

North Korea and Iran for starters.

Great... just great....

Prop up and make not so dangerous nations more dangerous, then push military spending because that is the only fucking stimulus that democrats understand, while profiting from the sale directly, and the military industrial complex stocks indirectly.

bonus points if you can get two enemies to nuke each other out of existence.

When you model this country off of Rome, don't be surprised when we have the same problems with corruption that Rome had.
