Did even a single decent game come out this year? I can't think of any, but maybe there were some hidden indie gems, I don't know. But obviously The Gay Awards nominees would be a selection of pure shit even if there were some decent releases.

Nothing in the AAA side but indie had a few interesting games. Sakuna is great. Orangeblood was interesting but rather experimental in it's battle system. Prison Princess was an alright escape room game, pretty enjoyable for what it was. The Kamen Rider game was also pretty good if you take the time to learn the combat system properly like you would a DMC game but that's a limited appeal one where it has more value if you care about KR than not. And while I know Early Access is something people are sketchy about since they're often used for scamming purposes, Team Ladybug's new game based on Record of Lodoss War and the Souls series inspired loli game, Little Witch Nobeta, are really fun and have quite a bit of content that are at least worth playing through. So there have been a few decent games this year. Nothing from major developers and most of these had very little fanfare behind them.

Then there's Dohna Dohna(the new Alicesoft game) coming out next week.

There was a lot of shit and backstabbing throughout this year but there were a few pretty good games as well with at least 1 or 2 more left before the year is over.

Also while I haven't played it yet, I've seen Hades getting good responses from fans of roguelikes and to my knowledge haven't heard of anything woke there. If someone else has then mention it but that's seemed like a pretty alright game from what I've been hearing and seeing.

Come to think of it, nothing at all

at least last year we got Sekiro which was badass (but hard as nails)

the only half decent game we got was a shitty PS4 exclusive that had poz laced in the game's content

as for content we had goblin slayer OVA which was barely an hour and a half, and half of it was just recycled from previous seasons

really shitty year for vidya, but 2021 is going to be worse

Sekiro was great, I actually just started a second playthrough with the new patch.

I'm still hopeful that Elden Ring will be good, so that alone could make 2021 better, but we'll see.

I have bad news for you

Yeah I know about that, I wrote that post, but later it turned out that the translation of that interview was most likely incorrect and when they talked about themes of "racism, politics, citizenship", they were actually referring to Game of Thrones. Unfortunately voat didn't let me update the headline but I did at least add a comment explaining that the info was most likely false: https://voat.co/v/oneangrygamer/4032975/25745270. I guess I should've put the update into the OP as well.

i'm gonna keep anyway, because it's definitely gonna be pozzed eitherway (it's the current year after all)

similar to how William got shit for claiming some dude was banned for playing only a white european hero (Torbjorn)

but later had to "sanitize" the article because he was getting shit from (((Centrists))) on Twitter **even though he was

technically correct**

unlike William i don't give a shit about optics, because if you know that something is kike'd but can't quite prove it

don't bother to, since in the end you will be proven right (Blizzard intentionally blackwashing/homofying established characters)

Well the part about GoT staff working on Elden Ring (most likely writing the lore) is probably true, plus as you say it's current year so all devs are probably under pressure to include some pozz in their game, so we'll see if Miyazaki resists that or not. There will probably be a trailer at TGA so we should know some more about the game soon enough.
