meaning the maps are incredibly fun to explore

Phalanx combat is incredibly challenging and viciously satisfying, lots of death and glory to be had

a word of caution, this mod is for seasoned veterns of mount and blade, if you're a noob you will not enjoy this mod

because the devs themselves made the setting unchangable so you can't reduce the combat A.I or reduce the damage you take (damage set to full and combat A.i set to Good)

also i highly recommend you watch this after playing, it shows the arms and tactics of Greek Hoplite warfare and you may glean a lot of insights from it

i highly recommend to save often because this mod drives the engine to it's absolute limit
or be a chad and play with "realistic saving" (game auto-saves and you cannot save-scum, since it's like dark souls/darkest dungeon)

well i've got good news for ya, there is a mod that lets you play as Rome and it was during the time that jews were still being rebels

During the times of Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus this mod takes a few liberties to cram down a lot of events for your enjoyment

•many special places (Delphi, Olympia, the Pyramids etc)

•flavor events

•11 legions and the preatorian guard

•new lord quests, lady quests, village quests and town quests (mostly from VC, with some changes)

•event to usurp a town from a corrupt governor

this is a very big mod, if you're a fan of classical rome this will keep you busy for weeks

Up next, Do you like Japan? Did you play Total War shogun 2 for 300 hours+ and want something more personal?

then i've got you covered, for Gekokujo mod (expanded edition) is by far the best mod i've ever seen for a certain period

detailed to the brim, this mod is basically with Fire and Sword but for Japan (since Japs had "Teppos" which is like an early version of a musket) you can be a samurai retainer, you can be a ranged Ashigaru

you can be a fucking monk who swings a polarm that not only over reaches his foes but also goes through their armor (since Katana is only about to do slicing damage, Polearms have an "axe" type of damage which goes through hard armor)

the possibilities are limitless and you can easily dump 3-4 dozen hours in this mod alone, esp with Japanese Sencha Green tea in hand

well i've got a fine mod for you

detailed to the brim just like the Sparta mod, this mod pushes the absolute fucking limit of the engine therefore I HIGHLY RECOMMEND lowering the setting and troop count on the battlefield

graphically impressive this mod really brings the Crusades to Life though much like Sparta mod, this mod is bat shit hard as a crusader since sand-niggers got a "Jihad" ability which they can conjure up to 1000 sand-niggers on the map and go to besiege a human town

while Crusaders got an ability to call for more Western European Lords for help if they start losing towns

if you want an easier, more casual Crusader Experience play the "Crusade against Jihad" (made by sand-niggers though)

Speaking of casual mods, do you like Might and Magic? do you want to be as a powerful Knight who wields the power to rise the dead

and the living?

well wait no more because Chronicles of might and magic is one of the BEST FUCKING MODS i've ever played

you can easily pick it up and play, the game starts off hard when you have no money, no mana and no fucking equipment

but once you get stat boosts from the random arenas/mage tower/divine liberarys you can easily one vs 5 the entire continent with your army of dragons titans and archangels

the soundtrack is super nostalgic for heroes fans, and easily one of the best features of the mod

the mod is super basic though and a work in progress, alas the dev abandoned it before it could be finished :(

Speaking of unfinished mods, there is a post-apocalyptic mod with guns, zombies and various )))politically incorrect((( factions like the aryan brotherhood and the new Confederacy who are 100% huwite and are at war with the Jewnited States

i earnestly recommend you read up a guide before playing cause this mod can be a bit hard to understand if your IQ is below a 100

to give you a brief but comedic summarization

If you enjoyed using automatic/bolt weapons there is also a WW2 mod where you can fight for the Führer and kill a bunch of Bolshevik scum

fun fact, the Russian and Police "resistance" factions have women in their military while the Axis doesn't

word of advise, this mod is alpha as fuck do not upgrade your units to anti-air or anti-tanks since the units won't fire their guns at regular units

this mod is a meh but the soundtrack for the Germans is pure Kino (German march songs)
