actually i did. when launches are on the west coast some of them occur at twilight. the rocket take off in the dark and you can see it all the way to stage separation as long as the sky is clear (which it always is, they check the weather for a reason) because the engine and chemical release are very visible when its dark for you on the ground but it's illuminated 100km above. it looks very spectacular actually. theres quite a few videos of this and ppl usually think it's aliens lol.
