When are they going to stop cheap goods from china? Via, wish.com, Aliexpress, bangood, ect. That's how this shit is going to get in. You can't tell me that some of these packages are not contaminated.

A virus being spread by packages laying dormant for weeks? This isn't fucking bacteria it's a virus

The nature of a virus is that it needs a host to survive. It CAN survive without a host, like people sneezing, touching door knobs etc, but it is for a few hours at max.

So, someone could have the virus handling packages coming from china, but it would die long before it reaches the US.

From what i have read it can linger on surfaces for quite a while. Maybe I read it wrong? But i have read many times in can in fact become dormant and last for weeks on dirty surfaces.

It's possible but it really is not a huge concern with a virus, the likelihood of becoming infected that way is very very small. Viruses need to attach to living cells to survive so compared to the chances of catching this Coronavirus from another person is drastically higher.
