Oh, you're right, she was with her sister who reported her missing. That being said, PTSD isn't really the sort of problem you get "treatment" for, or rather, at least not the halfway across the world tourism trip treatment that is going on here. When her body is found in an area where people apparently drink and do drugs, you can connect the dots that she (and her sister) probably weren't up to any good, especially if her sister was meant to be some kind of chaperone.
