Start using high powered lasers to blind the pilots from all angles.

Honestly I think flying a drone into the rotor system is a better fix.

I'm a former helicopter crewchief. The idea of advocating this shit kinda makes me shudder.

You might need more than one drone to take a chopper down. Still tho, not a bad idea.

A strike toward the hub might not do much, but if the drone hits on the outer edge, those tips will be moving fast enough that it could cause some pretty decent deformation. And at the very least, you'd get enough of an induced vibration that an immediate RTB would be the only option.

My thoughts exactly. If anything, you force a turn around for maintenance. Granted you might be out a hundred dollar drone, but those blades will cost a lot more than that, and have the added chance of making them more reluctant to put helicopters in the air against you cause it could be worse next time.

I'm thinking this.. Rig up a carrier drone, that can haul a coiled steel cable. Fly above the chopper's hub, and drop it. The cable will uncoil as it falls and then tangle up the hub on impact. Chopper down.

Problem is any drone that can lift that much is a lot more expensive, and a lot more visible.
