The situation there was far worse and much more dire than the media let on. The crimes they've covered up, the rapes the french women have been subjected to, the violence the men have had to endure..all while the media covers it up and their own government arrests them for even daring to speak up about it on social media. There is no going back. This is the last thing they want to. To stop this they are going to have to violently put it down or bring in an EU 'peacekeeping' force. The EU hangs on by a single thread of Soros's grey nut hair as it is. This is the last thing they want right now. They are forced into a position of losing France, which would be disastrous or quelling the rebellion with a massive boot. Their only reasonable option would be to compromise, keep France but slow the agenda down some. We'll see what happens. Any route they take, this will become an example to the whole Western world. The longer it goes on the more people will know, no matter how hard they try to cover it up.
