Part of free speech includes letting this exist. Remember FPH has very heavily handed moderation but is given a pass. As long as they don't interfere with normal operation of Boat, you might as well just ignore them. They'll probably be triggered by the other posts and leave anyway

Free speech, against free speech?

That's fucking retarded. It needs to be stopped

Bakeaprettycake ago

No, you're wrong. Allowing someone to create rules that prohibit free speech, is not free speech, are you actually that stupid? Ignoring this sort of shit is exactly how you end up with another reddit.

We simply can not afford to think like this in the current climate of censorship. Your attitude is a boomer luxury that’s long gone. The left is literally seeping it’s way into every crack and pore of the internet and going full Stalin stop pushing “muh principles” stupidity. Pull your head out of your ass. Any push against free speech should be totally crushed imo. We can’t play this little libertarian game anymore.

Fat people hate has a simple rule: hate fat people.

If you violate that rule in any way, you get into trouble. So their moderation makes sense. I have never seen anyone get banned for hating fat people. it is always something pro fat that gets you banned.

If the moderation makes sense with the sub theme, then yes being heavy handed makes sense.

I don't think this post violates that rule. If you read the bible, and the old testament, then YES, the jews were really bad a lot of the times. I hope that the "God chose the jews because they were the worst people and needed work" theory spreads more then where it is at in theology circles.

genesis and exodus hints at several different people that were worse than the heebs in YHWHs eyes

Genesis and exodus are Jewish stories, so that should come as no surprise.

Allowing of the disallowing of free speech is not free speech.

I don't want to disallow their free speech.

I want them to stop disallowing the free speech of others.

Should a store be allowed to throw you out if you shout obscenities at other customers?

Kill yourself, shill.

Krookedhillvag ago

This is not a store you autistic faggot. Free speech is free speech. Go back to reddit.

Saufsoldat ago

It's a private space.

Go back to reddit, shill, where the admins force compliance on private subs.

Comments are being censored on the pretext of rule-breaking. Rules are not being broken. Consider the following case.

In the context of a conversation of pertinence to monsters in the Bible, a user proposed the Jews.

  • That's not against the rules.
  • It's not spam.
  • It's not racist.
  • It's not hate speech.

It's an objective, contextual and valid statement of fact. That's in no way analogous to being kicked out of a store for shouting obscenities.

Saufsoldat ago

That's in no way analogous to being kicked out of a store for shouting obscenities.

It was just an example of limiting free speech in a private space not infringing on your free speech. How about this example: A store owner doesn't like your personally, so they toss you out.

If you feel like the owner of the sub is being a dick and not enforcing the rules fairly, don't go there. Did you know that you can ignore subverses and even users entirely?

I trust you're familiar with the "domino effect" or the idiomatic expression: "The thin end of the wedge."

Exponentially aggressive political correctness at the hands of unchecked SJW/NPC socialist mods (i.e. the owner of v/theunexplained) will overspill into the policies and governing of peripheral subverses. It happened on Reddit. It'll happen here if not nipped in the bud.

I trust you're familiar with "non-sequitur"?

Exponentially aggressive political correctness at the hands of unchecked SJW/NPC socialist mods (i.e. the owner of v/theunexplained) will overspill into the policies and governing of peripheral subverses.

"If we ban gay people from marrying, soon they will ban straight people getting married!"

It does not follow. Explain how a private sub having private rules will in any way affect system subs. Putt clearly stated that system subs will not have any additional rules beyond the side-wide voat rules. Explain how that would change if we allow private subs to have their own rules. FPH has had their own rules forever, yet fat sympathy is still allowed all across voat. Why is this case magically different?

Your victim complex is not appreciated.
