Banks like chase or bank of america need only introduce a few lines of code to let their customers take payments directly from their website.

People need to understand it means nothing when an entity promises "no censorship". What's going on is the covert creation of non-persons. It's more of the 1984 doublespeak where what is actually said means something unsaid. So "no censorship" unless we deem you a non-person.

See Bitchute, even when you cucked and started censoring you still get deplatformed!

whatisbestinlife ago

"oh no! a website dedicated to truth telling is sabotaged by one of the evil companies that it relies on to continue service"

never seen this before!

AnonDan ago

Bitchute was deplatforming people to begin with, so to hell with 'em. They're killing their own platform.

NeoDankZer ago

Can we still crypto-mine for Bitchute?

wolfsktaag ago

There's still ways to directly fund projects of your choosing, they're just not as fast as credit card transactions.

i'm talking about e-checks, your bank's bill-pay checks, or just plain ol' writing a physical check and mailing it

Potsieramirez ago

But conspiracy theories are CRAZY

Beefandcheese ago

One of my favorite chem channels got kicked off youtube and are on bitchute now. Fucking ridiculous. I support them in any way I can, but this is getting a little out of hand. All of the major media outlets, including youtube and social media are trying harder and harder to control group thought. I hope people open their eyes and aren't oblivious to this process.

If Bitchute goes down, we should have a list of alternatives

  • Torrenting - Use the anonymous client Tribler for extra security

  • Freenet - seems to be mostly suitable for low-bandwidth stuff

  • IPFS - with a good interface this might be the best one

  • ZeroNet - have not given it a try yet

thatguyiam ago

Take this alternative list and all other suggestions from the other replies to your comment here, and submit a thread encouraging all voaters to copy/paste all the links to save them to their devices. Its likely eventually voat will also be shut down then itll be to late to do so. The cocksucking deep state might keep voat going though, if they can racebait continuously on here as they have been up to now.

TheTrigger ago

ZeroNet is great. I'm on it all the time now, which is why I mention it fairly frequently when the topic comes up. Sure, it's pretty unstable, buggy, and non-optimized. But it's a new project that's only been around for 3 years, and already feels incredibly usable. And it'll only get better, with time.

I really do wish it were more active. There's chans, on there. There's even a voat clone someone is working on. YouTube clones, forums, etc. It's just that not a lot of people are on there, yet. I have a dedicated server, helping to host like ~100 different sites, at the moment. You can help support the projects you like by literally becoming a part of their hosting provider. That's amazing. IPFS is a great tool, which many people actually tie-in to ZeroNet "zites", in order to extend their functionality even further (that's how the YouTube clone works).

Oh, and you can run the whole thing within Tor, without the need for exit nodes. Which means that even if glow-in-the-dark niggers control all of them, it doesn't matter.

thatguyiam ago

Can we please get a thread on this going with all alternative sites? The fucking 'progressive' marxist fascists are squeezing the fuck out of free speech and feels like the new generation of free speech platforms are about to die. We need a stickied thread on the front page with alternatives.

kalgon ago

https://gnunet.org/

GNUnet is an alternative network stack for building secure, decentralized and privacy-preserving distributed applications. Our goal is to replace the old insecure Internet protocol stack. Starting from an application for secure publication of files, it has grown to include all kinds of basic protocol components and applications towards the creation of a GNU internet.

GNUnet is an official GNU package. GNUnet can be downloaded from GNU (ftp) and the GNU mirrors (ftp).

It's still in dev but looks promising

TheTrigger ago

At the very least, IPFS is more persistent for controversial content than YouTube is; realistically.

kalgon ago

True, technically it's already suited for american citizens who want to go full dailystormer for instance, it terms of tone, going nuclear on muhfeefees in a nutshell

Much less for content hosted by european citizens and pretty much the rest of the world, who don't enjoy the constitutional protection of the 1st

That said they still can access the said content, and participate eventually, to some extent

I haven't trully tested ipfs (never published even a stupid page with it) but I saw that it can already host wiki types of pages, which is quite something already, not sue how it goes for interaction like message boards/chats and so on

https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXoypizjW3WknFiJnKLwHCnL72vedxjQkDDP1mXWo6uco/wiki/Adolf_Hitler.html

And it's clearweb visible, which is awesome

Begin too deplatform them then?? Or STFU

VicariousJambi ago

While gives a fuck, they already started censoring

hang_em_high ago

What are they censoring?

Trash_Panda ago

They are based in the UK and trying to move the company overseas. They are legally obligated to remove certain content because of the UK government or else face imprisonment.

DammitMan ago

Yeah but it still stinks.

CowWithBeef ago

@bitchute please reply to this concern. I love your website and don't want to see its reputation slandered on voat.

PresidentSkroob ago

Naw, I think they've decided which side they're on. Screw them. I don't care about their response.

soabirw ago

There seems to be a major effort to do so today. I think it is largely ignorance and incompetence though. People in the US forgetting that other countries have different laws. And it's especially bad in the United Cuckdom where BitChute is registered.

ThisIsMyRealName ago

The army of tech geeks either got rich or are just dying trying.

TheTrigger ago

The game of cat-and-mouse has also been elevated to the realm of absurdist convolution, that the average person can't even follow, anymore. You try explaining to a computer-illiterate NPC what a blockchain/bittorrent distributed internet protocol is, and how to run it, to access a truly uncensorable web. Because YouTube alternatives exist on https://www.zeronet.io — right now — which use IPFS as their backbone.

Try explaining any of that to a sixteen year-old girl. And when you're done doing that: remember that YouTube is as simple as typing in a website address, and your browser already has all the technologies built-in for it to work out-of-the-box.

Fuckyounigger ago

William cuttings theory sounds good but I think those were mostly cia and fbi to begin with

Ocelot ago

The stakes are getting higher by the day for fighting back. One can lose absolutely everything in a flash if he gets branded with a neologism.

WilliamCutting ago

Hate to sound like a hipster, but they sold out to all be corporate bugmen.

TheTrigger ago

That, and white males are no longer encouraged (and, in fact, are actively discouraged) from going in to computer science. An Indian street shitter didn't invent Napster. A chink didn't come up with BitTorrent. A Latina woman wasn't the one who came up with the idea for Popcorn-Time. You get where I'm going with this.

speedisavirus ago

They don't censor anything except as required by law... Because they literally have to.

voatusernamevoat ago

American company following foreign laws, doesn't follow.

speedisavirus ago

Except it does if they want to be able to show their content there. It does follow pretty plainly.

soabirw ago

They are a UK company working on becoming a US C-Corp. They have to follow UK law or go to prison and have BitChute shut down forever.

boredTech ago

If their servers are housed in other countries then they have to follow or have those servers taken out. If they want to keep sending video to the other country without being turned off on the DNS server then they have to follow. Otherwise, fuck them.

Bitchute did NOT follow the 10 step plan for a viable free speech social site published on voat.co earlier.

1 > They did not start in USA on USA soil and have a USA figurehead so they are subject to insane censorship by UK

2 > They did not put up a simple easy to follow video on how to use a "coinbase.com" account to use ANY credit card and fund an account 20 bucks or so, to later be used across internet once immediately transferring to a private 3rd party anonymous wallet.

Its not too hard to then use your anonymous, in browser wallet, to xfer money in ways that can NEVER EVER BE STOPPED.

BitChute would have benefited from a future Hatreon2, also in the 10 step plan.

10 steps that WILL PERFECTLY WORK for free speech:

https://voat.co/v/news/2852314/15025103

Broc_Lia ago

US is better than the UK, but not necessarily the best option due to security letters and the NSA.

Wahaha ago

Starting in USA just means having the NSA up your ass.

ChiComs ago

starting in the usa means free speech, the point of it all.

ssl (https) using a real server certificate means that the NSA cannot get up your ass in any way UNLESS they can get inside the voat.co or bitchute servers ON THIS INSIDE OF THE MACHINE. Some operating systems used by tens of millions of people have never had even a single known remote exploit in the history of the famous massive exploit database called BUG-TRAQ. One operating system was Mac OS all the way to version 9.1. Even the US Army used it and the us army www.army.mil web site never ONCE got punked or owned. The month they switched to non Apple Mac OS, www.army.mil got hacked again and again and again, now they use a auto wipe that scans the page every 10 minutes and if altered it merely rewipes the hard drive image and page to a backup copy, because they use an insecure OS.

If voat.co used a secure OS and secure tools, and secure motherboard, and secure cards and secure drivers and secure cpu such as "RISC-V" with no assumed NSA backdoors : https://riscv.org/2018/01/more-secure-world-risc-v-isa/ ... then the NSA has yet wo get "up your ass"

Wahaha ago

NSA can just come knocking at the door and get you to hand everything over or jail time plus non-disclosure of that happening or jail time.

Action_Bastard ago

Oh boy, you've been out of the loop a while haven't ya? https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-the-nsa-and-your-boss-can-intercept-and-break-ssl/ Free speech in the USA gets shut down faster than free speech in Panama. You really have to go to a foreign country, to have freedom of speech on the internet, within the USA.

ChiComs ago

WRONG. You can clink on your padlock and check a cert hash to see if it matches published values.

THAT IS A TRIVIAL fake CERT chain, and for the top 200 to 500 sites in march 2020, all browsers will have a local bundle of hashes preventing bosses from getting into any of the big sites with a MITM fake cert chain.

I dont have to read that article to know that that is probably talking about MITM, and NOT , repeat NOT the hash of the actual certificate.

So WRONG!!!!!!!!

Read about ssl 128 bit stream certs. It cannot be broken probably for 30 years until massive advances in stable quantum computation.

By the way, not to doxx myself, but I a not "out of the loop", I am in fact the loop.

VapidGopher ago

Ease of use is going to be the biggest killer for crypto alternatives. YouTube is easy, just click and play. Some of the solutions people have suggested here involve installing tools from repos and learning how to use the command line to do basic setup scripts. The majority of people are lazy and not tech savvy enough to jump through all these hoops to play a video. I think this war will be fought in the courts.

Trash_Panda ago

Pretty much. Same reason music piracy stopped being much of an issue. Ease of access.

TheTrigger ago

Music piracy stopped being an issue because music became pretty much free, whenever you want it. Most stuff is on Youtube, in some form or another. Otherwise, there's Spotify and whatever other music streaming services are out there. It used to be expensive to build up a huge music collection. Almost prohibitively so. Now, it's just $9.99/month.

If Hollywood smartened up, and weren't so short-term greedy: they'd emulate the music industry's model and allow multiple, competing service to access all of their vast reservoirs of content. Standardize pricing, make it scale, and lower the barrier to entry.

Not have companies bidding against one another to see who gets to stream, fucking, Rush Hour 3. Then you have sixty different streaming services, each with their own selection of sub-par content, and now you're stuck either paying $100/month anyway, on all said platforms combined. That just drives people back to piracy and shit like Exodus on Kodi; because that is the easiest alternative. Even though it's illegal.

So now they're losing more money, because of their short-term greediness. Instead of shovelling money in to their pockets, hand-over-fist, by almost completely eradicating piracy and satiating their long-term greediness, by offering a sane, streamlined and easy-to-use approach.

Oh well, who cares. The harder it is for people to even get their kike propaganda, the better. I hope they never implement my suggestions above, actually. The less brainwashing we have readily available to people, the better.
