“If the technology is transferred, China would be able to domestically-produce advanced-military laser technology to Western standards sooner than would otherwise be the case, which diminishes Canadian and allied military advantages,” said a national-security assessment prepared for cabinet by the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service in 2015.

There's no doubt about the intent of the Canadian government.
There are 4 parties and all of them are controlled by the Canadian Power Corporation. The party leaders don't do anything that isn't straight from that group.
Maurice Strong, the UN guy that ran the new age eco bullshit climate change scam also worked with the Canadian Power Corporation. Their intent, since the the 1970's when Pierre Turdeau was in office, was to bring communism with China as the global power base.
