I'm going to play a little devil's advocate here and catch a ton of downgoats but here it goes.
I understand what he's saying and I agree with him on some level. I was in the military and I always hated the "you're responsible for everything this guy does" stuff. I can tell this dude 1000 times don't drink and drive but I'm not going to be there every weekend to take his keys. Let me finish by saying this dude is a colossal piece of shit and getting fired should be a minimum punishment but he wasn't actually on the ground to make those dudes go inside.
One counterpoint. The sheriff might not have been on site, but guaranteed these deputies had radio comms. The sheriff had the means to issue orders. Further, if the Sheriff brought in someone who would freeze in combat, and further failed to train that flaw out, the Sheriff has to own that.
He's pandering to a portion of the population that has no fucking idea how leadership works. They know nothing about how to lead by example, how authority=responsibility. You make the big call, you suffer the consequences of that decision. You are a Sheriff or a manger, you hire a shit employee, you train him, you oversee him and he fucks up, guess who that is on? It's also on you. But again, I've met few, if any liberals that understand this concept at all. We see it, we're outraged and in disbelief but to the people he is speaking to, it all makes perfect sense.
If I didn't do my job and my Manager said "we supplied him with a computer, SOPs, and training courses--it's not my fault he didn't do his job" to one of our clients, the client would have a fit and she--along with me--would most likely be fired.
Seems like in the private sector, the left always wants to hold executives responsible for the actions of their employees. I suppose the fact that Sheriff Israel is an elected Democrat explains the hypocrisy. It is also interesting that the vociferous student, David Hogg, wants to skip all elected Democrats and jump straight to Republican Governor Rick Scott to attach responsibility.
"When it comes to exercising my powers and control over people, it's ALWAYS my responsibility to do so, but when it comes to shit going wrong and people needing to be accountable, it is NEVER my responsibility."

Oh absolutely he does and my opinion would absolutely change depending on the circumstances.

I see we've found our ISC - Incompetent Sheeny in Charge - I've run into them all over the place.

Is he not responsible for the behavior of those under him? Then who is?

Techically, he's right. Which is just another reason the 2nd Amendment needs to be applied broadly and liberally (i.e. everywhere, not like liberals)
The police have no duty or responsibility to protect you, they exist solely to investigate crimes and detail suspected criminals.

We have no responsibility to protect you, and no accountability to the people. Now give up your guns to us so we can protect you!

That's good leadership.

At least this jew cocksucker is now thwarted from higher office.

OK, well this guy has obviously never been an NCO or officer in the military. In fact, I doubt he's been in the military at all with that attitude.
A leader needs to take full responsibility for his people in a job like this. Israel is completely unfit to command an this type of organization.
He needs to go. I'm sure he'll do well somewhere in the corporate world.

Totally. Managers are not at all responsible for the performance of their employees. Never. Not at all.

Well, except if you gave him a little more power. Then he would be responsible. It's our fault for not giving him enough power to be responsible.

This kike's attitude explains a lot about why so many people dislike Jews. It's never their fault.
