Edom/the Edomites descended from Esau who was a pure-blooded Hebrew, but took strange wives from among the accursed Canaanites, much to the dismay of his parents. The mongrelized Edomites were the product of these marriages. The Arabs descend from Ishmael the son of Abraham and the Egyptian woman Hagar. God told Rebekah the mother of Jacob (Israel) and Esau that for a time Esau would serve Jacob (Gen. 25:23). Indeed, for a long time the Israelites dominated the Edomites, but the latter also inflicted a good amount of damage on the Israelites. The Amalekites, who are to some degree synonymous with the Edomites, were the first enemy people to fight the Israelites on their way out of Egypt. Haman the Amalekite was also the one who plotted the genocide of the Jews (the real ones, that is) in the Book of Esther. Perhaps this was revenge for the earlier massacre of Amalekites at the hands of the Israelites. Typically enough for the fake Jews and their habit of turning reality upside down, nowadays they call their enemies Amalekites although they themselves actually descend from the Edomites/Amalekites. But that's how the kikes roll. It's all about that projection.

Anyway, later on the Judean/Jewish king John Hyrcanus made the fatal mistake of forcefully converting the Edomites he had vanquished into the Israelite faith. This took place some time in the late 2nd century BC. Over time the Edomites then subverted Judea under the guise of being "Jews", although in reality they kept to their old ways. The fake Jews did it back then just as they do it today. By Christ's time the Edomites had already supplanted the Israelite ruling class and priesthood, and had become the region's rulers. The Herodian dynasty was an Edomite dynasty, not Israelite Jewish. And so it had come to pass as Isaac had prophesied (Gen. 27:40), that the time would come when Esau (the Edomites) would throw off the yoke of Jacob (the Israelites). Not only that, but the Edomites ended up ruling over Jacob's descendants, at least for awhile. Of course there are those that say that even Europeans can trace ancestry back to the ten lost tribes of Israel and that the fake Jew dominance over our nations can also be attributed to this prophesy, but this is not a theory I'm very familiar with.

After the time of Christ, the Edomite fake Jews created what is today know as Rabbinic Judaism. They performed totally blasphemous and demonic misreadings of the Old Testament which culminated in the compilation of the Talmud, c. 200-500 AD. The Talmud is a very sick piece of literature and has nothing to do with the Old Testament, just as its writers have nothing to do with the real Israelites of old. Rabbinic Judaism is nothing but an amalgamation of ancient paganism (Egyptian, Sumerian, Gnosticism etc.) with a generous helping of fake Jew mental illness. The Talmud and Zohar, the two foundations of the fake Jew religion, are the vilest sort of paganism and devil-worshipping imaginable. The fake Jews, the synagogue of Satan, do not study the Old Testament, but in fact revile it in their filthy writings. Basically they rejected the Old Testament (which wasn't their scripture to begin with) and claimed that the OT was worthless and that they were in fact privy to Moses' "real" teachings, the so-called Oral Torah, which was allegedly somehow secretly passed down from generation to generation until it culminated in the Talmud. This is of course a ridiculous lie, but it gives good insight into the deceitfulness of the demon possessed fake Jews. This is how they lie. So when a fake Jew tells you they study the Torah, they don't mean the real Torah (the first five books of the OT, the books of Moses), but actually mean the Talmud, the so-called Oral Torah.
