This is an Amazon Prime production, it depicts the ridiculous scenario that Nazi's run America after winning the war. I thought it sounded like a bit of fun so I watched it.
First of all, the depiction of New York City that's supposed to be some kind of dystopian nightmare looks a lot better than New York City actually looks today. Clean streets that aren't full of fags. Clean people dressed like they give a shit. Trains that aren't smeared with human faeces. If this is supposed to be dystopia just because there's nazi flags instead of advertisements for Nike and Mcdonalds everywhere then you've lost me.
The show features a resistance faction which is hilariously small. The show introduces a 27 year old kid that wants to join said resistance faction. The leader rightfully points out that the kid has no idea what he's fighting for by joining and the kid rightfully laments that he doesn't know what "freedom" is, but wants to join anyway.
A lot of "why the Nazis are bad" is glossed over. But they do go out of their way to shoot everyone they basically come across, which is odd since you'd think that type of behaviour wouldn't be put up with for very long. I mean they must have somebody on their side right in order to run the country? In any case, any time you see a Nazi on the screen they're generally shooting somebody, or chasing somebody to shoot them, or torturing them to death.
The show also features turmoil between the Germans and the Japanese, the Japanese are running the West Coast. The Nazi's are so evil of course that they are plotting to take the West Coast too. I'm kind of enjoying how the Japanese are being depicted with so much sympathy in this show even though they apparently helped conquer the country.
Has anyone else watched this crap? It has a pretty high production budget, it looks good, at least the first episode.

The show improves every episode/each season and the world building is fantastic. Attention to detail on the smallest things like fictional consumer products with unique logos (food, radios, etc.). Have read the PKD book many times and Amazon actually improved on some of the ambiguity of it. Story is much more coherent. There are parts of the book that you really need to guess about. Rufus Sewell is great and other actors that aren't initially improve over each season.

lasted 15 minutes. The writing seemed awful.

watched the whole series. It was the most obviously, painfully contrived propaganda.

Also, for some reason it isn't a surveillance state. People openly talk with one another about their plan to take down the Nazis. Whereas meanwhile in reality everything you say and where you are at all times is recorded in a database.
This place more or less looks better than how we currently have it. The writers are working pretty hard to make it look like a bad thing.

It gets pretty good. The Nazis become more sympathetic. The John Smith Obergruppenfuhrer guy becomes very relatable.

He was the star of the show.

I watched the entire series. For the most part, the Nazi America was a continuation of the 50's that didn't get killed by hippies in the 60's. There was no hippie movement, no civil rights bullshit. Blacks got moved to a no go zone in the mountain states and the rest of the Easter US was 50's utopia.
