It might have been a draw if the whole line up wasn't some form of lesbian wet dream. Harley Quinn in the comics along with other females are dime pieces, here they look like something you dragged out of some hell hole like San Fran or Portland, gave them a script and told to act.

Fangirls whine about any woman who looks even slightly hot. Mostly because they’re all hideous themselves. I don’t know how many conversations I’ve been caught up in where some nasty little troll-female is gushing about how beautiful the rape is in Outlander or how they love this one historical feminist who was all about free sex forever.

Hold up! Wait a sec... you being serious now!? You've spoken to women that have ACTUALLY CLAIMED THE RAPE IN OUTLANDER IS BEAUTIFUL?!

Yes.

Every woman I know who likes that show will defend the rape scenes to the point of absolute illogic. Usually the justification is that “it’s historically accurate” or because she gets cuddles from the hot Scottish dude (I don’t really like him but I guess he’s hot) afterward or other mindless bullshit. I have literally been told that it’s poignant and appropriate and yet tasteful.

See here, I know the truth. They’re all turned on by it but they don’t want to admit it so lots of crazy things get said. And I don’t care - be turned on by it, whatever, it’s a fictional act in stupidly fictional show.

All I ever need to do at a reenacting or costuming event to really rile up some trouble is, when that inevitable conversation about Outlander starts, is say that I don’t care for the rape scenes.
